Social Media/Marketing Intern
Here at equipster we've got our hands full to say the least, and now as we enter our first major growth phase we're looking for some creative talent to help implement our marketing strategies. This is an ideal position for an outgoing college or graduate student who's into the outdoors and thinks creatively. You'll be dealing directly with the founders to create campaigns over popular social channels to spread the word and drive traffic. Geographic location isn't a limiting factor for this position, so feel free to apply even if you aren't in the Bay Area. On the other hand, if you are in the Bay Area, we've got an office location here in the Presidio and we'd love to have you join us for all the fun that is the startup life! Responsibilities:- Propose, run, and test marketing campaigns over various social channels
- Take part in and promote conversations around outdoor topics both through equipster's social presences, as well as on online forums and within other communities
- You are pursuing (or have completed) a degree in marketing or related field
- You are outgoing and enjoy engaging others and forming relationships
- You have a thorough understanding of (and experience with!) the various social channels - Twitter, Facebook, social news sites (reddit etc.), blogging - used for promoting a brand, and how they can all work together effectively
- You are comfortable with a certain amount of autonomy, and have the discipline to get things done if you're working from afar
- You're into the outdoors/outdoor sports in some capacity
- Directly shape the future of a growing tech company
- You'll learn a ton and gain valuable experience in online/social marketing
- a few companies or websites who you feel have done a great job with their social media marketing presence, and a few sentences on why

Guest Blogger/Content Creator
In creating our outdoor blog we're looking for people who truly live the outdoors, and who can effectively, entertainingly, and informatively write about their (and others') escapades, discoveries, and general badassery in the adventure scene. Geographic location isn't a limiting factor for this position, so feel free to apply even if you aren't in the Bay Area. On the other hand, if you are in the Bay Area, we've got an office location here in the Presidio and we'd love to have you join us for all the fun that is the startup life! Responsibilities:- Write and submit posts/articles about all things awesome and outdoors
- Contribute to the discussion of online communities, tools, websites and resources relating to outdoor activities, products, and events
- You love the outdoors (a lot) and you're connected with the online presence of the outdoor life
- You have great writing skills
- You are comfortable with a certain amount of autonomy, and have the discipline to get things done if you're working from afar
- You have written for an editorial publication of some sort
- You are pursuing (or have completed) a degree in journalism or closely related field
- Help directly shape the future of a growing tech company
- Have a medium through which your voice can be heard
- A few examples of your writing, and some context
- Your favorite blogs, and why (including yours if you have one :)
- A resume (not vital, but nice to have!)
